Alpine Hut to Hut Glacier Crossing tour around the Venediger Massif in Austria

• DAY1: To Mittersill via Munich
• DAY2: to St Pöltener Hütte (2481 m)
• DAY3: on to Neue Prager Hütte (2796 m)
• DAY4: to Badener Hütte (2608m) via an easy dry glacier for crampon practice
• DAY5 REST DAY: climbed the Kristalwand (3310m) for rope practice
• DAY6: From the Badener Hütte over the Frossnitz Torl to the Defregger Haus (2962m) across glaciers
• DAY7: climbed the Gross Venediger (3674 m) and descended to Johannis Hütte
• DAY8: Over Turmljoch to the Essener & Rostocker Hütte (2208m)

Kristalwand (3310m)

• DAY9 REST DAY: attempted the Simmonyspitz, but aborted due to bad snow conditions – watched a very large avalanche instead!
• DAY10: Crossed Maurer Torl (3105 m) and over Obersultzbach glacier to the Kursinger Hütte (2558m). A very very long day
• DAY11  REST DAY: climbed Keeskogel (3291m) a nice rocky summit for a change
• DAY12: Up to the Venediger Schart (3414 m) across glaciers and down to the Neue Prager Hütte (2796 m) for our second visit. Some interesting navigation in thick fog & snow!
• DAY13: Descended (and reascended) to the Further Weg and on to the Neue Fürther Hütte (2201 m)
• DAY14: a long descent to Hollersbach and a bus to Mittersill
