Haroldstreet is proud to host Bernie Hughe’s Garmin POI Files of the Database of British & Irish Hills
“Whereas Garmin units typically have storage capacity for a stricty limited number of Waypoints, using POI files allows for many thousands of more detailed entries to be stored. In addition to giving each hill’s location, these POI files contain the following information taken from the DoBH and associated P30 appendix: Hill name, Height, Classification, Drop, Grid Ref, Map number, RHB section number, plus details from the Feature, Observation, Comment, County & Survey fields of the DoBH where available.”- Hills.gpi contains details of all 8031 hills in V13.3 of the DoBH (not including Ireland).
- Hills Plus.gpi contains details of all 10835 Tumps in the P30 Appendix V2.2, plus 30 miscellaneous hills (Yeamans, Clems and deleted Donald Deweys) that aren’t listed in either.
