This walk appears in Cicerone Guide to N Pennines. From Renwick Village take tracks and FPs up to Hartside Cafe on A686. Follow fences and walls N across moor to Black Fell. Continue NW to Watch Hill then W to Thack Moor. Descend SSW to Renwick. 17.3km, ascent/descent 606m, est time 4:30. (Based on gpx trace recorded on 15/02/13)

High Raise by North Haweswater Ridge
From the car park at Burnbanks the route climbs to Drybarrows then ascends the ridge across Bampton Common to meet the Roman road, High Street, then turns south the gain High Raise summit. The return route is via Kidsty Pike descending Kidsty Howes to follow the Coast to Coast route along the north side of Haweswater. 19.8km, 811m ascent/descent,5hrs. Recorded 13/08/15
