Stubaital - Koppeneck, Maria Waldrast and Fulpmes
A signed footpath to Maria Waldrast from the top station of the Serlesbahn leads to forest track in the direction of the Ochsenhutte. Just before the hut a path climbs steadily to eventually join another track marked to Maria Waldrast. Passing two viewpoints the track becomes a path again contouring through the woods to meet the track to Maria Waldrst. After passing over a col the track descends to the church and gasthof. Return over the same col but continue north on the track before taking a rougher path through the woods signposted Sonnenstein Gasthof. The track descends crossing the base of a couple of scree slopes before finally improving just before the Gasthof. Below the Gasthof, a dirt track signposted Fulpmes and Kreuzweg leads down, passing stations of the cross, before finally descending in a series of zig zags to cross the Griesbach and then forking left to join the road at Fulpmes bridge. If there has been heavy rain take the same route down but follow signs to the Serlesbahn Talstation to avoid the Griessbach crossing. 9.8km, 199m ascent, 890m descent. Recorded 22/6/18

Stubaital - Mutterbergalm to Volderau
Starting at the head of the valley, a well groomed path starts below the Gletscherbahn station beside the river. Eventually it joins the Wilder Wasserweg to continue past the Grawa Falls as far as the Reutz cataract. A track from the end of the Wilder Wasserweg alongside the river leads back to the road. After crossing the road and taking the minor road to Ranalt, the Talwanderweg path leads from here to Volderau, signs Falbeson, Volderau and Neustift. Apart from the Wilder Wasserweg to Talwanderweg section, the route is well signed and easy going as well as being very attractive. 15.2km, 71m ascent, 720m descent. Recorded 21/6/18

Stubaital - Kreuzjoch to Fulpmes
Detour to Aussichpunkt for fine views of the valley and surrounding mountains then return to top station of Kreuzjochbahn to follow signs to Fulpmes by Naturlehrpfad to Schlickalm on well groomed path across ski runs. Continue by Erlebnispfad to Panoramasee then through woods by Scheibenpfad to Brugeralm. Finally descend on forest roads following signs to Fulpmes. Easy walk, nearly all downhill. 13.25km, 20m ascent, 1418m descent. Recorded 20/6/18

Stubaital - Oberbergtal & Oberkartnal
Start at Oberisalm near head of valley (can be reached by taxi or car). Route shown in Kompass Guide 5610 has been washed out 200m after first bridge, shown on trace, so cross from road on 2nd bridge down valley from car park, signposted Milders. Early riverside path sporty in places but finally opens up. From then on route is mix of roads. paths & tracks following signs to Milders/Neusift/Barenbad. Very pleasant views and flowery alpine meadows. Take Milders road from Barenbad then fork left to climb through road tunnel, pavement & light switch provided, to Forchach. Descend on road to pass between Alms to initially join track to Neustift. At Naturschaupunkt take path into wood to climb round Bachertal then descend on forest tracks to Ebnerhof before doubling back & descending on road to first junction where there is a path between the farm buildings to Neustift. 14.3km. 465m ascent, 1275m descent. Stubaital - Neustift to Volderau Circuit
Easy out as far as Kroesbach then short steady climb to contour on S side valley as far as Mischbach falls before return to road. Return on forest tracks to Gasteig before steady road climb from Kroesbach to Unteregg. Then paths and forest track to drop down to Schaller to cross outbound route. After crossing river. route follows Uferweg by road and the river to start. Note: riverside path on Kompass map starting at Schaller does not exist. 16.8km, 699m ascent/descent. Recorded 18/6/18

Stubaital - Elferbahn, Pinnistal & Franz Senn Weg
First part steady downhill, narrow in places, some fixed rope sections not really needed in good conditions. Once in valley gentle walk downhill steepening towards end. 3 Alms in Pinnistal for refreshments. Transit to Franz-Senn-Weg on roads. FSW starts with zig zag climb but eventually flattens to contour and then descend gently to valley. Return to Neustift by river on good paths. 15.4km, 465m ascent,1275m descent. Recorded 17/06/18.
