GPX Walking Routes

The London Loop

Taking the London LOOP is a great way to get to know London better. Made up of 24, mostly flat or gently sloping sections, its combination of beautiful open spaces like Hainault Forest Country Park and Bushy Park, historic buildings (Hall Place and Black Jack's Lock & Mill), makes this an enjoyable walk.

Brantingham to Sancton Circular

EYLDWA Challenge walk called "The Rudolf Romp" usually held early December every year, however a fantastic anytime walk along paths around the south part of the Wolds Way

Cadair Idris

From the car park at the intersection of B4405 and A487, clockwise around Cwm Cau, Penygadair, and Mynydd Moel. The views from the top of Penygadair are well worth the effort!

Little Mell Fell, Gowbarrow and Great Mell Fell

Actual route walked by me and recorded on my Etrex 30. 15.2km with 680m of up to take in these 3 outlying Wainwrights. Quite a few dodgy stiles and fences to get over so be aware of this if you have a big dog with you to lift over them - as I did!

Bannisdale Horseshoe

This route largely follows Wainwright's route in his book "The Outlying Fells of Lakeland". The route is harder than it looks on paper due to the nature of the ground which is boggy and tussocky a lot of the time. There are no paths for much of the route and it should be avoided in poor visibility. This route avoids most of the difficult fence and wall crossings but you will still need to cross one wall and one barbed wire fence. 18km, ascent/descent 659m, 5hrs. Recorded 15/03/16.
