Waltham Chase 2
Starting (SU559153 map 119) 4.8 miles. via Sandy Lane then Curdridge Lane to west of Glebe Farm. north to Locks Farm along Botely road west to lane to Thickets House then onto old railway track north east to railway roundabout at Bishop's Waltham. Take road at back of Bishop's Palace following Park Lug and Kings Way south to the B2177 then take Clewers Hill road back to Sandy Lane.

Mickle Fell
Mickle Fell is in the Warcop Range Area. Access is restricted and a permit is required (see link). There are only 2 permitted routes, this trace is the southern route. From cattle grid at NY804224 hop over fence behind MOD warning signs and head up hill keeping fence line on left. Follow fence line via Hewits and Hanging Seal as far as summit. Return by same route. 12.8km, 389m ascent/descent, est time 3:30. (Based on gpx trace recorded on 25/05/13). Gaiters recommended.

Pendle Hill from The Nick circular
The walk starts from the lay-bys at the Nick of Pendle and heads up to the trig point on Pendle Hill summit. Car parking is free (if you can find a spot!). The walk is 7 miles and took me 2hrs 20mins. The walk can get VERY muddy after wet weather!
