Details: From Nenthead follow C2C route to minor road crossing at Black Hill. Then county boundary S to Killhope Cross. From A689 follow boundary S to Nag's Head and Dead Stones then fence line W to minor road. Return to Nenthead via BW passing mining museum en route 13.8km, 364m ascent/descent. (Based on a gpx track recorded on 12/01/13)

- This walk is in Cicerone Guide to N Pennines. Gaiters are a must. Virtually all the moorland sections of this walk are trackless with many boggy sections. Best only tackled in dry or freezing conditions. There are "handrails" across the moorland.
