Crookdale Horseshoe with Harrop Pike and Grey Crag

 UK Area: England
Details: 630mtrs ascent and descent, 17.6 km. Start at Shap summit layby on the A6 (NY553,063) This walk is the Crookdale Horseshoe but turning off at Lord's Seat to take in Harrop Pike and Grey Crag, returning to Lord's Seat to complete the Horseshoe. I suggest you only do this walk after a prolonged period of dry weather - the first section by the beck is bog and tussock and you will have to pick your own way along it to avoid the worst - my track is my selection. Once on Lord's Seat the terrain is much better and there is a quad track for most of the way from then on. Went through an obvious hole in the wall off High House Bank but there is a stile somewhere near if the wall has been repaired.
