  • Very good free CP to NW. Over Rough Tor first; ascending Brown Willy on good path from NW. Maybe not as impressive a top as Rough Tor; but quieter (as further for folks to walk from car park). Excellent views. Didn't find the letterbox; but didn't try very hard either. Continued south over Brownwilly Downs on good path to bag Butter's Tor.
PS Highly recommend the Bettle & Chisel pub at Delabole - very good value B&B; good beer and friendly staff.

  • Helen, Josh, Lucy, Molly and myself worked our way down from Rough Tor through the bracken and the rocks and then followed the path up to the Trigpoint on the summit of Brown Willy. We had a pastie and then after returning to the carpark enjoyed a paddle in the refreshing stream - 25/07/2017.
