- 29/12/14 A magical day of hard frost, blue sky,snow on the higher tops,low winter sunshine and fog in the valleys. Magical.Many photos. From Black Fell, then down west all on access land through crunchy dead bracken (one easy-ish wall to cross) to pick up bridleway (ice rink) down to main road and and an equally busy Cumbria Way path, down to Skelwith Bridge and onward to find a way up Little Loughrigg.
