- 1/4/15 A 3 hour low level circuit with L from Broughton along the old railway and country lanes via Rosthwaite (bought homemade chutney and marmalade). Followed by a placid basset hound that has a habit of following strangers. Farmer tipped off by a local and drove out to collect it from us a mile further on. Hellishly windy still on the tops (even on little peaks such as this) No April fool joke. Did both tops. Down through woods and nasty pathless main road (again)- back for lunch just before rain began.
