Member's Comments on Anthony Hill...

  • Chris Pearson says...
  • FP from Hopping Top trig, passing small gritstone bluffs to the large quarry below the summit- despite the upper crumbly layers some climbs have been recorded including a visit by the famous climber Joe Brown who with Wilf White climbed a route in the 1950s they named Brown and White (what else). Nearby are the vastly superior (for climbing)Robin Hood's Stride (a collection of heaped boulders)and Cratcliffe Tor which give many fine (and some very hard) climbs on solid gritstone. Quiet lanes back to Stanton in fine summer rain.
