  • To west of 188m spot height summit in the tangle of woods are 7 mounds forming a round barrow cemetery of Bronze Age date. Although now surrounded by no digging signs all of the barrows have been hollowed or cut as a result of later excavation and/or by modern military defensive structures and slit trenches. In one barrow a Second World War pillbox has been constructed in a pit set 1.2 metres into the centre of the mound.
