- A 5 hill category top. Pleasant flat woodland -simple loop on tracks from the large car park, a stones throw from the M40 which slices its way through the Chilterns known as The Stokenchurch Gap, or Aston Rowant Cutting or locally "The Canyon". This is a steep chalk cutting, constructed during the early 1970s for the M40 motorway. It is 1,200 metres long and a maximum of 47 metres deep. The cutting is mainly through the Upper Chalk, with some Middle Chalk seen at its base. The cutting is a Site of Special Scientific Interest of geological importance. Over 200 pairs of Red Kites can be seen in this area having been introduced in the Aston Rowant Nature Reserve and have bred successfully.

- Parked in Cowleaze Wood carpark and took a circular walk through the woods to take in the HP. Firecrest and Red Kites seen - 26/03/2017.
