  • A jog through a lovely park (10 million lottery money has been spent on the upkeep) Full of interest with grand buildings,gardens, stables, folly on summit, a bee hive collection. Views of the Pennines and the modern high rise towers of Manchester. Many families and children enjoying the summer holiday, on the playground , playing football, riding bikes, eating ice cream. In 1982 Pope John Paul II held a service here for @250,000 people. I also took in the highpoint by the Heaton Park BT Tower (one of the UK' few 'Chilterns' type concrete towers)
