- Parked in layby by the Pontsticill village sign opposite the water treatment works (just before the weak bridge). Paths under railway up to metal gate in stone wall onto access land. Then only sheep tracks. Used compass to find Pwll Morlais then top; by Pwll Mere - both dry as result of recent hot dry weather. Navigation tough (as don't see either Pwll until virtually on top of them and almost became a GPS convert - but not quite!
