Three Dodds 

18km. From Legburthwaite climb Sticks Pass then follow ridge via Stybarrow Dodd, Watson's Dodd and Great Dodd. Continue to Clough head and return via old coach road and St John's Beck. (This route was generated from digital mapping and walked by the author on 27/9/12)

Cross Fell Plain & Simple

Cross Fell via Tyne and Tees 

29.6 km. Starting at Garrigill the route follows the Tyne to its source before crossing into the Upper Tees valley to gain the ridge of the Pennines. Cow Green to High Cup Nick via Murton Fell 

25 km out and return starting at Cow green Reservoir and following the Pennine Way to High Cup Nick. The route detours before the Nick to take in Murton Fell.
