Upper Weardale

This figure of 8 route follows the line of the River Wear from Westgate to Ireshopeburn using the Weardale Way and other public rights of way. While most of the route is a live gps trace, parts have been edited to avoid public footpaths that proved to be closed or impassable. 10.4km, 150m ascent/descent,2:30hr. Recorded 25/06/15

White Peak Way - Peak District

A circular walk of the White Peak of around 90 miles. I suggest Bakewell as a start point and using the YHA's at Youlgreave(11.5 miles), Ilam (16 miles), Hartington (10.5 miles), Ravenstor (14 miles), Lose Hill (11 miles), Hathersage (14 miles), return to Bakewell (13 miles). Burnhope Seat Circuit

From Burnhope Reservoir the route climbs onto Coldberry on a trackway. The rest of the route is off piste, there are no paths to speak of but there is a lot of peat bog to be traversed so this route is best attempted during a dry spell, Route takes in Three Pikes, High Field, Scaud Hill, Burnhope Seat, Dead Stones and Highwatch. Although there are no paths, fence lines simplify the navigation. 23.3km, 566m ascent/descent, 5:35hr.Recorded 23/06/15

A trig and a top near Merthyr

Salutary lesson in how not to combine these two tops. Initial access from near the hotel is difficult and the private road does get locked. the forestry itself is overgrown so stick to paths where you can. Coming back from the trig don't walk into the river valley stay to the high ground to the west of it. Finally access to the main road is best achieved right on the corner of the bridge not half a mile further west like me. other than that enjoy

Wetherlam by Red Dell Coppermines and Black Sails Ridge

A lesser used route for Wetherlam with opportunities to view disused coppermines. Includes Erin Crag, Low and High Wether Crags and Black Sails. Return via Red Gill Moss and Hope Rake. 11.3km, 791m ascent/descent, duration 5:30hr. Recorded 20/06/15
Owner:  ninthace, Type: route/track, Area: England.

20150620 Dun Mor (easy route)

My recommended route, which avoids climbing up the other duns, and is the most direct way to the trig point.
