  • Well frequented spot with splendid views south across Chichester and of Goodwood. Low autumn sun picked out chalk cliffs beyonf Brighton. Vis 35 miles+.

  • 2 Jan 2015 Our local hill since 2012. Always referred to as The Trundle. We have walked and run up and around it many times, sledged down it and sat on it with a picnic watching horse racing at Goodwood (a popular free vantage point -although the horses were the size of ants from this distance!). This was my 1st night ascent / run with Lesley, Graham & Alan (and Betty the Jack Russel with flashing collar) on the club Fri night run- 5 miles from Lavant, headtorches hardly needed due to a full moon which had a wide halo effect through thin cloud and illuminated the vapour trails from the silent winking aircraft heading to and from London. A cold night -wore 3 tops, hat and mitts , Alan in shorts as usual. Ran past fields of startled sheep -no shepherds watching over them.
