Member's Comments on St Mary’s Island...

  • Chris Pearson says...
  • The whole island has, since Roman times, been reclaimed from the marshes and now sports a new smart housing development with a long sinuous grassy tree covered bank (named a bund)running across the island with a footpath along the crest. The highest point is on the East Bund by an information board about birds of the estuary and next to a gated dog walking area.
