- Six low boulders sit in the heather on the flat moorland highpoint, 50 metres off the main path which bypasses this overlooked true summit in favour of the (lower) trig pillar seen half a km further south to which the path leads. A small sheep fold lies up against the highest boulder. Lonely and prominant White Lodge - a former gamekeepers cottage is now a NT holiday home - 2 bedrooms charging £1500 week in July for which you can enjoy - "fine moorland views from the bathtub"
