- Climbed in 1989, during a circular walk from Whalley, including Pendle Hill. Nearby is the remains of a Bronze Age Cairn, which has the name Jeppe Knave Grave roughly inscribed on one of the stones. This was reputedly the last resting place of Jeppe Curteys, a highwayman who was hanged for his crimes in 1327.
