High Cup Nick and Backstone Edge
An extension of a route published earlier. Follow PW from Dufton to High Cup Nick then head for highest FB across Maize Beck. Before FB head off piste NW to 600m contour. Follow contour SW to begin with and eventually a faint path develops. Folllow this around Backstone Edge past trig point until track from Dufton the Great Rundale Tarn is seen, Follow track down. 18km, 780m ascent/descent. 4:45hr. Recorded 15/5/16

From the Arkengarthdale road route follows farm tracks, PROWs and some off piste walking across Faggergill Moor to the trig point on Hoove then loops back to take in the Kettle Stone, the Frying Pan Stone before descending via the Faggergill lead mines. 15.9km, 361m ascent/descent, 4:10hrs.
