Bishop's Waltham (SU549175) 5.4 miles from old railway station via Northbrook, Vernon Hill, Dean and Galley Down then back to BW. Parking limited to road around the pond and Victory Road.

5.5 miles starting at Hoegate Common (SU 626129). Parking on Hoegate Common. Via Hambledon, Bottom Copseand Russell's farm. Hilly , 10+stiles (some awkward), muddy in places.

4.7 miles starting at Avington Park (SU528321). Good parking, plenty of spaces. No hills. Head east then cross the river to Itchen Abbas. then west to Martyr Worthy back across the river to Easton and back to Avington.

5.74 miles starting at Hundred Acres (SU593113). Limited parking. Head south through Wickham Common, via Bonhams, Albany Farm and Roche Court. Head east to cross the Wallington river; immediately head north to Bere Farm and turn northwest back to Wickham Common.

Petersfield 28-05-2008
5.3 miles starting at (SU755226) Petersfield to Buriton. Plenty of parking at Heath Pond. Take footpath from Sussex Road, signposted 'Buriton 3 miles".Cross Stanbridge stream. Bear to left after 2 more stiles into "hanger" woodland. Follow path and then keep to the left over a stile into North Lane. Turn right into Burton village. Just passed entrance to Buriton House take steps through woodland. Rejoin road. Take next footpath right and follow sign on right returning to Petersfield on Hangers Way. Enter through caravan park, turn right into Sussex Road and return to car park around the Pond.

Shawford 14-05-2008
6 Mile walk - meeting at a small car park (SU 468247), enough for 10 cars approx. Starting at Shawford, going east past the Bridge pub , then north alongside the river. Under the motorway and across the viaduct then north to St Cross Hospice. Turn west through the houses to join the Clarendon Way then take the left fork to head south across Compton Down to Compton End then onto Compton and back across the motorway to the car park at Shawford.

Waltham Chase 2
Starting (SU559153 map 119) 4.8 miles. via Sandy Lane then Curdridge Lane to west of Glebe Farm. north to Locks Farm along Botely road west to lane to Thickets House then onto old railway track north east to railway roundabout at Bishop's Waltham. Take road at back of Bishop's Palace following Park Lug and Kings Way south to the B2177 then take Clewers Hill road back to Sandy Lane.

Waltham Chase 1
Circular - 6 miles (SU559153 map 119). Via Solomon's Lane, Shirrell Heath to Turkey Island, then Redhill Nursery, Redhill Copse, Fordlands Farm to Biddenfield Lane and to Shedfield Common. Through St. John's churchyard to St. Anne's Lane north on there to the junction with the B2177 take footpath across to golf course, then take path directly north to Littlebull Lane and then Bull Lane and back into Clubhouse Lane.

Soberton 1
Start at Soberton Village hall car park (SU612166 map 185). 5 miles. Takes dis-used railway track south(footpath 502) until junction with footpath 15, heads west along 15 then 14, then 19 and 20 along Hambledon Road until footpath 4 north along this until footpath 5 back north then down Chalk Hill back to village hall.
