Exmoor - Horner Woods 1
A very picturesque half day circular walk. The first section is through ancient oak woods by the side of Horner Water as far as Pool Bridge. After a short climb the return is across open heath with views as far as Wales to the N and to Exmoor and Dunkery Beacon to the S. 9.5km, 318m ascent. Recorded 17/9/19

The first half of the route runs along the main ridge of the Quantock Hills from Lydeard Hill to Crowcombe Gate. The return route crisscrosses the outward route exploring more of the hills. On a clear day there are excellent views to both sides of the Quantocks. 11.4km, 265m ascent. Recorded 3/8/19
