From car park behind Dartmoor Inn take FP NE to join line of former Rattlebrook Peat Railway at Nodden Gate. Follow track until N of Great Links Tor, strike S to climb tor. Follow vague path E to Bleak House between Dunna Goat Tors. Follow path S then W before heading SW to Brat Tor and Widgery Cross. Descend W, crossing River Lydd to start. Note: this trace actually fords river to visit WW1 memorial; if river is high take alternative descent NW to cross on bridge. 12.5km, 394m ascent/descent, 3hr. Recorded 14/7/17.

Exmoor - Winsford Hill and The Punch Bowl
From Winsford village route follows Yellowcombe Lane (BW) before gaining ridge at Caratacus Stone. Thence by side of B3223 as far as Wambarrows.
