Minor rd NW out of village to take FP SW across tunnel to Wastebank Wood. Follow FP SE by river (care needed - path in poor condition) to minor rd. Continue to Millrigg Bridge. Ampleforth to Byeland Abbey
Starting at Ampleforth this 7.5 miles Circular Walk takes in Byeland Abbey with views over to the White Horse. Low lying and easy walking only a short distance on the Road. Please note I walked this in February 2016 and every single field was a physical Bog due to all the rain, so do this in Summer or after a Hard Frost.
