Arkengarthdale - Fremington Edge and Calver Hill
From Langthwaite take minor rd E to Booze. Continue on FP NE past old lead mine. Cross Slei Gill and climb S to boundary wall on Fremington Edge. Follow wall SE to FP and track to Reeth, Descend Edge by FP to Reeth. Cross Arkle Beck by Road Bridge and continue W by minor rd and FP to Healaugh. Take minor rd, track and FP N then NW to Calver Hill. From hill regain path and follow it NE to Arkle Town and then rd to Langthwaite. 16.4km; 639m ascent/descent; est time 4hrs. Blease Hill & Uldale Head from Tebay
From Tebay village S on minor road to gain open access land. Shepherds' tracks S over Tebay Gill, White Combs and Powson Knott to Blease Hill. Initially faint path ENE towards Archer Hill but leave path to go cross country over Archer Moss. Shepherds' track from cairn SE to Uldale Head then cross country N to Rispa Pike and then descend W over Whitefold Moss to track at sheepfold in valley. Track N to Weather Hill then leave NW on shepherd's track to Waskew Head. Return on track to Tebay. 13.2km, 473m ascent/descent, est time 3:15hr. (Based on gpx trace recorded on 19/04/13)
