Burnhope Seat Circuit
From Burnhope Reservoir the route climbs onto Coldberry on a trackway. The rest of the route is off piste, there are no paths to speak of but there is a lot of peat bog to be traversed so this route is best attempted during a dry spell, Route takes in Three Pikes, High Field, Scaud Hill, Burnhope Seat, Dead Stones and Highwatch. Linear walk, can be done as a circular by taking train from Ribblehead station to Dent Station. Route is via Coal Road in direction of Garsdale then south on old pack horse trail to Newby Head to continue on Pennine Bridle Way to Ribblehead. 14.7km, ascent 426m descent 467m, 3:30hr. Faggergill Mines, Frying Pan Stone and Hoove
From the Arkengarthdale road route follows farm tracks, PROWs and some off piste walking across Faggergill Moor to the trig point on Hoove then loops back to take in the Kettle Stone, the Frying Pan Stone before descending via the Faggergill lead mines. 15.9km, 361m ascent/descent, 4:10hrs.
