Whinfell Beacon and Mabbin Crag
This route goes up Borrowdale (no not that Borrowdale) from the M6 near Tebay to the A6 at Huck's Bridge and then returns along the ridge via Ashstead Fell, Mabbin Crag, Castle Fell, Whinfell Beacon and Grayrigg Forest. Threlkeld Railway Walk
Park Blease Rd, Threlkeld. Walk back 80m, take FP WSW via Ings to Wescoe. Follow minor rd to Derwentfolds. FP S across Greta to Brundholme. Follow rwy path E under A66 to Threlkeld Bridge. Regain rwy path, cross B5322, pass industrial estate and leave path to cross Greta on Mill Bridge. Return to Threlkeld on FP across fields. 8.6km, 160m ascent, 1:48hr. (Recorded 03/09/14)

Brougham History Walk
This short walk takes in a Roman fort, a fortified medieval hall, 2 henges and a castle. Park on road outside Brougham Castle. Walk back to B6262 past site of Brocavum Fort. Turn right, follow minor rd to Brougham Hall. Continue to A6, Turn right, cross Lowther Bridge. Turn left in Eamont to pass Arthur's Round Table (henge). Follow B5320 as far as Millenium Stone. Turn right follow minor to visit Mayburgh Henge. Contnue N on minor rd as far as FP back to Eamont. Cross Eamont on pipe bridge then follow N bank of Eamont back to start. 6.5km, 56m ascent, 1:20hr.
