Stubaital - Sulzenaualm and Wilder Wasserweg

This is a very attractive walk but a bit sporty in parts. From the Sulzenauhutte bus stop, cross the river bridge and descend to the left by the Reutz as far as the Grawa Falls. From here a signposted path climbs steadily through woods on a mixture of paths and wooden steps via two viewing platforms by the falls. The wooden steps eventually cease as the path steepens rising in a series of zig zags including one short section on steel rungs set into rock. Eventually, the path divides (no signs). Keep to the right on the muddier path as the more attractive left hand path has been damaged by an avalanche. The climb steepens further, climbing through rocks and woods, trending steadily right to eventually meet the alternative path that comes up from bridge near the bus stop. Follow this path upwards until it passes under a cable railway and enters the valley of the Sulzenaualm. The path now flattens out and enters a hanging valley, passing the Sulzenaualm, towards the upper falls. A further ascent to the Sulzenauhutte is possible (1hr). Return by the same route as far as the junction with the ascent path. Continue forwards descending to the bridge then follow the Wilder Wasserweg on the south bank past the Grawa Falls as far as main road. Cross the road left over the bridge by the Tschangelair Alm and continue right on the north bank as far as the Reutz cataract where the path crosses back onto the south bank. Follow the river past the cataract and then a short track leads back to the main road near the bus stop. 12km, 483m ascent, 761m descent. Recorded 26/6/18

Stubaital - Fulpmes to Neustift

A pleasant valley walk. Follow the road from the centre of Fulpmes towards Medraz. Just before the covered bridge, there is a side road on the right signposted Wiesenweg Neustift. Follow this road gently uphill always following signs Wiesenweg Neustift until you reach a path leading left and down to cross the river just after the Rastbichlhof. Follow the path by the river to Neustift. 6.1km, 96m ascent, 33m descent. Recorded 24/6/18

Stubaital - Serlesbahn to Mieders via Gleinserhof

A short path up from the top station leads to a forest track sign posted to the Ochsenhutte. The track beyond the Ochsenhutte climbs gently but steadily and, following signs to the Gleinserhof, it circles the valley head to the left before winding north on the other side of the valley (just after the Ochsenhutte there is a footpath, also signposted Gleinserhof, that leads steeply down through the woods and then climbs again to rejoin the same route). Continuing to wind north the track descends gently – look out for a path to the right, signpost Gleinserhof, that leads through the wood allowing you to cut off a corner before following the track once more to the Gleinserhof. From here, the track is virtually flat all the way to the Gleinserhof. From the terrace of the Gleinserhof, a steep path leads down across the meadows back into the wood to join a track leading down to Mieders. When you arrive at the road leading up to the Zirkenhof, turn downhill looking out for a path on the left that drops down to the stream, signpost Mieders. Follow the path by the stream to Mieders. 9.4km, 105m ascent, 746m descent. Recorded 24/6/18

Stubaital - Elferbahn to Neustift via Klamperbergalm

From the top station of the Elferbahn, an attractive but narrow ledge path leads gently downhill to the Autenalm. From here a forest track leads at first gently downhill then climbs steadily, then steeply by 4 hairpins to the highest point before descending gently to the Klamperbergalm, a proper old fashioned mountain alm. (From here a steep, not too well defined path descends to Kroessbach). Return by same route to the Autenalm. (Again from here a signed footpath leads down through the woods to the valley). Take the forest road following the toboggan run to the valley. There is another alm just before the end of the descent. 14.9km, 285m ascent, 1101m descent. Recorded 23/6/18

Stubaital - Koppeneck, Maria Waldrast and Fulpmes

A signed footpath to Maria Waldrast from the top station of the Serlesbahn leads to forest track in the direction of the Ochsenhutte. Just before the hut a path climbs steadily to eventually join another track marked to Maria Waldrast. Passing two viewpoints the track becomes a path again contouring through the woods to meet the track to Maria Waldrst. After passing over a col the track descends to the church and gasthof. Return over the same col but continue north on the track before taking a rougher path through the woods signposted Sonnenstein Gasthof. The track descends crossing the base of a couple of scree slopes before finally improving just before the Gasthof. Below the Gasthof, a dirt track signposted Fulpmes and Kreuzweg leads down, passing stations of the cross, before finally descending in a series of zig zags to cross the Griesbach and then forking left to join the road at Fulpmes bridge. If there has been heavy rain take the same route down but follow signs to the Serlesbahn Talstation to avoid the Griessbach crossing. 9.8km, 199m ascent, 890m descent. Recorded 22/6/18
