Great & Little Eggleshope
Park in lay by on B6278 at NY 997 307.Follow track NW by Little Eggleshope Beck to Candleseive Sike. FP W, leaving line of beck to follow non existent FP to Wire Gill. Follow Gill S to join track by Great Eggleshope. SW to Middle End Farm. Return to start on minor rd and B6278. 8km, 184m ascent, 1:55hr. (recorded 31/07/14)

Piper's Hill to Jeffrey's Mount
Set in Borrowdale nr Tebay. Park minor rd NY606015. Follow rd then track W through Borrowdale past Low and High Borrowdale Fms. At second bridge take BW (v faint) on N bank climbing steadily to meet Breasthigh Road. Climb on track to ridge. For Piper's Hill follow wall line NW crossing at convenient pt to reach summit (no paths). Return to ridge and follow clear ridge path SE to Winterscleugh. At cairn take faint path SE over Roundthwaite Common to Belt Howe. Continue E to Jeffrey's Mount. Descend NE to Roundthwaite and follow minor rd to M6 Bridge. Either return to start by road or cross M6 and take FP S to Salterwath Bridge then complete on minor rd. 17.4km, 540m ascent, 4:30hr. (Recorded 17/09/14)
