The Burnley Way (Section 5) Towneley Park to Hapton
Section 5 of the Burnley Way. The Route starts at Todmorden Road at the top of Towneley Park and ends at the Leeds Liverpool canal at Hapton. My route deviates from the guide at the weather station on top of Hameldon hill to take in Great Hameldon hill and Hameldon Quarry, which makes for a far better walk. The route is 9 miles long.

Starting at Georgeham, "birthplace" of Tarka the Otter, the route goes inland with views over the Devon countryside to emerge above Woolacombe. It then follows the coast S with views from Morte Point to Baggy Point before returning to Georgeham. 13km, 390m ascent, recorded 6/4/19
