Park at Balderhead Reservoir, cross dam and follow track via Water Knott and Galloway Rigg to Shacklesborough (trace avoids bogs en route). From Shacklesborough head towards wall visible to N. Follow line of wall N towards reservoir. At Broad Shaw head W towards chain-link fence and follow line of fence to track at White Hill. Return on track and road on N side reservoir. 10.7km, 221m ascent/descent, est time 2:15. (Based on gpx trace recorded on 30/04/13).
