Scotland January 2010

We’ve had a couple of Scottish trips this January.

The first was a week at New Year spent in Newtonmore where we hired the local hostel. The weather was unusually cold and very snowy so we didn’t achieve very much due to high avalanche risk, but we did manage to bag Carn a’Chlamain from Blair Atholl.

At the end of January we went for a long weekend in Arrochar.
The weather was fantastic, the snow hard and icey. We climbed;

  • Ben Narnain & Ben Ime
  • then Ben Bhuidhe
  • and finally Ben Lomond
