New Year – Tyndrum

The weather was a bit uninspiring so we didn’t take many photos.
We did however get some good walking in and bagged…

  • Ben Challum (Beinn Challuim) Ben Challum (1025m)
  • Beinn Fhionnlaidh Beinn Fhionnlaidh (959m)
  • Beinn Dorain Beinn Dorain (1076m) and Beinn an Dothaidh Beinn an Dothaidh (1004m)
  • Beinn Dubhchraig Beinn Dubhchraig (978m) and Ben Oss Ben Oss (1029m)

Mid January – Killin

Weather so poor we promptly drove back home!

February Half-term – Glen Sheil and Braeriach

Despite some very strong winds we had a great week and managed to bag the following;

  • Saileag Saileag (956m) – too windy to do more!
  • Ciste Dhubh Ciste Dhubh (979m) – a fantastic winter ridge! and Am Bathach Am Bathach (798m) – a bonus Corbett

Five Sisters

The Five Sisters of Kintail
A brilliant but hard 11hour winter ridge walk;
Sgurr Fhuaran Sgurr Fhuaran (1067m)
Sgurr na Carnach Sgurr na Carnach (1002m) and
Sgurr na Ciste Duibhe Sgurr na Ciste Duibhe (1027m).
SEE THIS GPS ROUTE – giving a nicer descent route than in most of the guidebooks.

 

 

Then we went east to get better weather and get a final walk in up Braeriach Braeriach (1296m)
