Skiddaw Ridge from Threlkeld
From Threlkeld the route goes up the Lonscale valley to join the Cumbria Way near Skiddaw House. It continues up the valley between Great Calva and Skiddaw before striking off steeply up Birkett Edge to Bakestall. From here is follows the Skiddaw ridge over Skiddaw Man and Little Man to meet the tourist route back to the car park before descending Latrigg to return to the start. 18.6km, 970m ascent/descent, 5hrs. Dartmoor - Yes Tor, High Willhays and Black Tor from Meldon
From Meldon Reservoir car park descend to Meldon quarry then follow Red A Ven brook onto Moor. Spiral up Yes Tor on minor tracks passing West Mill Tor. Follow ridge to High Willhays and off piste descent to Black Tor and Blackator Copse. Return by West Okement river and E bank of reservoir. 12.74km, 505m ascent/descent, 4hrs.

Caldbeck Fells - High Pike & Lingy Hut
Start Hesket Newmarket. Road S to Wood Hall then SW on tracks and FP to High Pike. SSW to Lingy Hut (NY311335). Return to Hare Stones then follow Drygill Beck and Carrock Beck to Calebreck. Road back to start. 15.5km, 586m ascent/descent. (Based on gpx trace recorded on 16/01/13)

Park NZ024088. Walk 200m down rd.Turn L by Lodge. Follow track NW then W to leave forest by stile at NZ011093. Ascend gully S past adit on right and Jinglepot Hole on lft to stony track going SW. Follow track to minor rd. Cross rd, continue on track E by Hope Scar. Leave track on BW at NZ037077. Keep new deer fence on rt, follow fence to Black Hill Gate. Take BW NW until BW leaves track at NZ036087. Stay on track W to rd. Turn rt to Car Park. 10.1km, 240m ascent, 2:10hr. (Recorded on 10/09/14)
