Park in lay by on B6278 at NY 997 307. Track then FP NE via Jack Scars to Pawlaw Pike. Shooter's track NE then E then ESE to Meeting of the Grains. ESE to Potato Hill (track curves S before wall, look out for FP straight on), Forest track SSW to Paddy's Plantation. Continue W on tracks by Euden Beck then climb NW over Sharnberry Flat. Park Dufton. Pennine Way to High Cup Nick. Climb off piste NNW to edge of scarp. Follow scarp past Narrowgate Beacon along Backstone Edge to trig point.
