Import your file of Bagged Hills / Trigpoints

You may tick off your hills or tripgoints as 'climbed' by importing them from a file.

The file must contain either 6 figure OS grid references like NY123456, or 10 figure grid-refs separated as NY 12345 67890 (i.e. GPSU or CSV file), or be a GPX route or waypoint file.

NB: If you are importing from hill-bagging.co.uk - please read this... www.haroldstreet.org.uk/other/importing-your-hills-from-www-hill-bagging-co-uk/

If you have a file with Irish Grid References like A123456 or A,12345,67890 please use our alternative irish hill importer.

Note: this File Importer considers a hill or trigpoint as 'climbed' if your waypoints or route track points are within 200m of its location. Also for a LARGE file of waypoints is is worthwhile importing it more than once untill you get the error 'Oops - you have already imported all of those waypoints' as sometimes the importer misses some on its first attempt. You must be registered as a Member, and Logged-on before you can use this import tool

File to import Select the file you wish to upload here.

Format of File You may upload a file of 6 figure grid references: Separated as one per line, in the format "AB123456" Where AB are two uppercase letters and 123456 are 6 digits; 3 eastings and 3 northings (at 100m resolution).

Or you may upload a file of 10 figure grid references: Separated as one per line, in the format "AB,12345,67890" Where AB are two uppercase letters and 12345 & 67890 are 10 digits; 5 eastings and 5 northings (at 1m resolution). These must be separated by spaces or commas. This is ideal for importing GPSU files or other CSV files containing 10 figure grid references.

Or you may import a GPX File: containing a route or waypoints in latitude & longitude format. If you are going to use this, consider uploading it directly into our Members Section where it can be shared with other users AND it automatically checks for Hills & Trigpoints you have bagged. Each reference must be separated as one reference pair per line.
