Based on walk in Cicerone guide to N pennines. Start at Melmerby village, go E to Blea Scar and Melmerby Scar to Dun Edge. N along ridge to Knapside Hill and Fiend's Fell. Stickle Tarn to Silver How
A good way to avoid the Langdale crowds. Climb from New Dungeon Ghyll to Stickle Tarn and then follow the ridge via Blea Rigg and the Castle Howes to Silver How and then return on a super ledge walk contouring and descending back to Langdale. 11.2km, 586m ascent descent, 3:40hr. Recorded 25/03/16.

Wet Sledddale Horsehoe
A longer version of the normal horseshoe in favour of taking in Mosedale Cottage Bothy and a good route for seeing Red Deer. From Wet Sleddale Reservoir SW via Wasdale Pike and Great Yarlside. W along fence line via Harrop Pike to Sleddale Fell. NW to Tarn Crag then N to Mosedale. NE to Mosedale Cottage (good lunch stop). Continue ENE to Scam Matthew then NNW to High Wether Howe. E to Seat Robert then along wall to gate, Return via Sleddale Hall and S side of reservoir. 21km, 659m ascent/descent, est time 5:50. (Based on gps trace recorded on 7/5/13). Very squelchy route even in dry weather.

High Seat and Bleaberry Fell from Watendlath
From Kettlewell NT CP follow lane to Watendlath. Climb on BW towards Blea Tarn. Above tarn follow fence to col then cross and aim back to Armboth Fell then descend and climb High Tove. Follow fences to High Seat and Bleaberry Fell. Descend FP NW then circle back by Falcon Crag to regain road at Ashness Bridge. 16.6km,672m ascent/descent, est time 4:25.
