Wet Sledddale Horsehoe
A longer version of the normal horseshoe in favour of taking in Mosedale Cottage Bothy and a good route for seeing Red Deer. From Wet Sleddale Reservoir SW via Wasdale Pike and Great Yarlside. W along fence line via Harrop Pike to Sleddale Fell. NW to Tarn Crag then N to Mosedale. NE to Mosedale Cottage (good lunch stop). Continue ENE to Scam Matthew then NNW to High Wether Howe. E to Seat Robert then along wall to gate, Return via Sleddale Hall and S side of reservoir. 21km, 659m ascent/descent, est time 5:50. (Based on gps trace recorded on 7/5/13). Very squelchy route even in dry weather.

High Seat and Bleaberry Fell from Watendlath
From Kettlewell NT CP follow lane to Watendlath. Climb on BW towards Blea Tarn. Above tarn follow fence to col then cross and aim back to Armboth Fell then descend and climb High Tove. Follow fences to High Seat and Bleaberry Fell. Descend FP NW then circle back by Falcon Crag to regain road at Ashness Bridge. 16.6km,672m ascent/descent, est time 4:25. Super little cct of Elterwater and Little Langdale passing 2 pubs and finishing at a 3rd. From NT Car Park in village follow Cumbria Way as far as Colwith. Return via High Park, Stang End and Little Langdale. 9.6km, 275m ascent/descent, 2:20hr. Trace recorded 18/11/14

Great Dodd from Dockray
From Dockray village minor road W to High Row then Old Coach road to Groovebeck Ford. Take BW to Matterdale Common and on to Great Dodd. Ridge via Watson's Dodd to Stybarrow Dodd. Return E on FPs via White Stones, Hart Side and Birkett Fell. Follow wall SE to stile than back to Dockray via Brown Hills and Swineside Knott. 16.5km, 727m ascent/descent, est time 4:05. Raise and Sheffield Pike
From Glencoyne NT Car Park walk follows lake shore to Glenridding then climbs up Greenside Road (track) past YHA and Kepple Cove to the summit of Raise. Then down to Sticks Pass to follow Sticks Gill before climbing to Sheffield Pike and Heron Pike. It then descends steeply to Glenridding Dodd before returning to start beside Mossdale Beck. 16.7km, 934m ascent/descent, 5:30hrs. Recorded 06/08/15.
