Follow shooters' tracks to Packhorse Hill then SE across Birbeck Fells Common, over Crag Hill to Ewelock Bank. Finish on minor rd. 12.9km, 368m ascent/descent, 3:15hr. Recorded 3/12/14.

Based on a walk in the Cicerone Guide to N Pennines. From Middleton go north along Hudeshope Beck to Marl Beck then NE across moor to Great Eggles Hope. Return SW across Monks Moor to Snaisgill and Middleton. 14.2km, 603m ascent/descent, 4hrs. (Based on a gpx trace recorded on 10/12/12)

Round Peat Moor Hill
Park on Stang Road at Dry Gill Bottom. Walk up minor road to county boundary then on open moor to Arndale Hill. Aim for shooters' track to SE, some bog hopping involved. Follow track over Kexwith Moor and Booze Moor to Windegg Vein then back to start. 12.7 km, 301m ascent/descent, 2:45hr. Recorded 19/04/16.

From Malham Tarn car park the route starts off SW on Pennine Bridle Way then circles back round Malham Tarn passing through nature reserve en route. 10.2km, 197m ascent/descent, 2:25hr. Recorded 8/5/16

Arkengarthdale - Fremington Edge and Calver Hill
From Langthwaite take minor rd E to Booze. Continue on FP NE past old lead mine. Cross Slei Gill and climb S to boundary wall on Fremington Edge. Follow wall SE to FP and track to Reeth, Descend Edge by FP to Reeth. Cross Arkle Beck by Road Bridge and continue W by minor rd and FP to Healaugh. Take minor rd, track and FP N then NW to Calver Hill. From hill regain path and follow it NE to Arkle Town and then rd to Langthwaite. 16.4km; 639m ascent/descent; est time 4hrs. Blease Hill & Uldale Head from Tebay
From Tebay village S on minor road to gain open access land. Shepherds' tracks S over Tebay Gill, White Combs and Powson Knott to Blease Hill. Initially faint path ENE towards Archer Hill but leave path to go cross country over Archer Moss. Shepherds' track from cairn SE to Uldale Head then cross country N to Rispa Pike and then descend W over Whitefold Moss to track at sheepfold in valley. Track N to Weather Hill then leave NW on shepherd's track to Waskew Head. Return on track to Tebay. 13.2km, 473m ascent/descent, est time 3:15hr. (Based on gpx trace recorded on 19/04/13)

Shacklesborough
Park at Balderhead Reservoir, cross dam and follow track via Water Knott and Galloway Rigg to Shacklesborough (trace avoids bogs en route). From Shacklesborough head towards wall visible to N. Follow line of wall N towards reservoir. At Broad Shaw head W towards chain-link fence and follow line of fence to track at White Hill. Return on track and road on N side reservoir. 10.7km, 221m ascent/descent, est time 2:15. (Based on gpx trace recorded on 30/04/13).
