Follow FP ENE and E past Maiden Castle to briefly join track. Continue ESE to ford Grinton Gill than follow track to road. 10.2km, 279m up & down, 2:20hr. Recorded 17/10/14.

Take C2C route WNW from Surrender Bridge past Old Gang Mine. Cross beck and follow track beside Ash Pot Gutter to junction at ht 538. Follow track S across moor to Barl End Gate. Contour ESE on BW to meet minor road. Leave road at Blades, follow FP NE to start point. 10km, 285m up/down, 2:10hr. Recorded 29/10/14

Take BW (not visible on gd) NE to Black Dub monument. Continue NNE to Wicker St summit. Follow FP NW past wood and bield to stone wall. Take grass track SSW to Trig Pt at ht 401.
