Dockray & Aira Force
From High Cascades NT car park near Dockray, the route follows footpaths by Aira Beck to view High Force and Aira Force then makes a circuit along the flanks of Gowbarrow Fell to Ulcat Row before crossing to Matterdale End and then by tracks and roads back to Dockray. 10.6km, 303m ascent/descent, 2:30hr. Lord's Seat, Geltsdale
This walk was intended as a circuit of Blotting Raise and Croglin Fell but the Open Acess Land was shut so Lord's Seat was used as an alternative. Although it starts on good tracks, a lot of the going on the fell is untracked, boggy, often with ground cover concealing holes and should be walked carefully. 14.8km, 485m ascent/descent, 3:50hr.
