Bretherdale & Birbeck Fells
From Greenholme BW SW via Low Winhowe to minor rd. Track W to Bretherdale Head then NW on BW up Bretherdale to cross A6. Track W then N to recross A6. Follow shooters' tracks to Packhorse Hill then SE across Birbeck Fells Common, over Crag Hill to Ewelock Bank. Finish on minor rd. 12.9km, 368m ascent/descent, 3:15hr. Recorded 3/12/14.

Loughrigg Twice
Park Tarn Foot. FP to Pelter Bridge via Ivy Crag, Todd Crag and Miller Brow. W via Rydal Cave and Loughrigg Terrace then climb to trig pt. Circular tour of plateau skirting Scartufts and Black Mire returning to summit. Descend to Loughrigg Tarn and Tarn Foot. 14km, 645m ascent/descent, 4hrs. Recorded 28/11/14.

Elterwater
Super little cct of Elterwater and Little Langdale passing 2 pubs and finishing at a 3rd. From NT Car Park in village follow Cumbria Way as far as Colwith. Return via High Park, Stang End and Little Langdale. 9.6km, 275m ascent/descent, 2:20hr. Trace recorded 18/11/14

Grizedale Forest and Carron Crag
Park in layby at Moor Top. Take forest track W towards Grizedale Moor. Pass W of Jack Gap to ht 253. Continue S on track to take FP to Carron Crag. From Crag follow FP S and SE to rejoin track. Descend NE to Activity Centre. Leave road on green lane NE. Cross stile in wall on rt and follow FP SE across fields to join White Route. Follow route N past tarn to sandstone fox sculpture at ht 203. Take FP and tracks N back to road. 10km, 347m up & down, 2:25hr. Recorded 24/10/14.

West Windermere
Start NT car park at Ash Landing. Follow W bank of Windermere to Belle Grange. Climb W on BW signposted Hawkshead. Near crest take FP across ford to follow ridge S past The Heald and Low Pate Crag to Far Sawrey. Return on FPs parallel to B5285. 9.3km, 310m up/down, 2:20hr. Recorded 16/10/14.

Tarn Hows & Holme Fell
Tarn Hows NT car park, skirt S & E side of Tarn. Path N to Oxen Fell, cross A593, take track to Hodge Close quarry. Leave track on FP by SE edge of quarry, then S over Holme Fell to Yew Tree Tarn. Return to Tarn Hows up Tom Gill to see waterfalls. 8.7km, 325m up/down, 2:20hr. Recorded on 7/10/14.

Little Mell Fell, Gowbarrow and Great Mell Fell
Actual route walked by me and recorded on my Etrex 30. 15.2km with 680m of up to take in these 3 outlying Wainwrights. Quite a few dodgy stiles and fences to get over so be aware of this if you have a big dog with you to lift over them - as I did!

Piper's Hill to Jeffrey's Mount
Set in Borrowdale nr Tebay. Park minor rd NY606015. Follow rd then track W through Borrowdale past Low and High Borrowdale Fms. At second bridge take BW (v faint) on N bank climbing steadily to meet Breasthigh Road. Climb on track to ridge. For Piper's Hill follow wall line NW crossing at convenient pt to reach summit (no paths). Return to ridge and follow clear ridge path SE to Winterscleugh. At cairn take faint path SE over Roundthwaite Common to Belt Howe. Continue E to Jeffrey's Mount. Descend NE to Roundthwaite and follow minor rd to M6 Bridge. Either return to start by road or cross M6 and take FP S to Salterwath Bridge then complete on minor rd. 17.4km, 540m ascent, 4:30hr. (Recorded 17/09/14)
