Crianlarich 5

Track log from an ascent of 5 Munros to the south of Crianlarich. [ Beinn Chabhair, An Caisteal, Beinn a' chroin, Cruach Ardrain & Beinn Tulaichean] Start point is car park at end of public road near Inverlochlarig. Distance 26km, Ascent approx 2000m, time under 12 hrs.
Owner:  gigha, Type: route/track, Area: Scotland.

Beinn a' Bheithir

Track log from an ascent of the 2 Munros on this mountain near Ballachulish. Start point is the car park adjacent to the Visitor Info centre in Ballachulish. Ascent of Sgorr Dhearg is via the NE ridge of Sgorr Bhan - some easy scrambling near the top of the ridge. From Sgorr Bhan it is a very nice high level ridge walk over Sgorr Dhearg and Sgorr Dhonuill. The return included a walk out over the ridge on the west side of Gleann a' Chaolais to Creag Ghorm. This ridge is crossed by numerous ridges and depressions and could possibly be quite confusing if done in poor visibility. The descent north off Creag Ghorm is down steep grassy slopes with a few crags to avoid before picking up the forrest road about the 300m contour. Distance 21km, Ascent approx 1700m, Time 8 hrs 20mins.

Mullardoch Munros from Glen Strathfarrar

Track log from an ascent of the 4 Munros to the north of Loch Mullardoch. Start point is near the Hydro facility at Gleann Innis an Loichel where there is a parking area at the end of the tarred road. Route skirts to the north of An Riabhachan and ascends An Socach via a nice ridge from Coire Gorm Mor. Distance 28km, ascent approx 2000m, time under 12 hrs. Note access restrictions to Glen Strathfarrar mean this route is not really practical unless you are staying in the glen. If you have done these Munros by the more conventional routes then this makes an interesting alternative.
Owner:  gigha, Type: route/track, Area: Scotland.

Strathfarrar 4 + An Sidhean

Track log from an ascent of the 4 Strathfarrar Munros plus the Corbett of An Sidhean. Start point is a track that starts just near the bridge over the Allt Coire Mhuillidh in Glen Strathfarrar. Distance just on 40 km, ascent approx 2200m, time over 12 hrs. A bike was prepositioned at the Monar Dam for a quick return down the glen at the end of the day. Note I was staying in the Culligran log cabins so there were no time constraints - the access restiction to Glen Strathfarrar mean that this route is probably not practical unless you are doing something similar or are running the route !

Stob Ban - Mullach nan Coirean

Track log from an ascent of these 2 Westerm Mamore Munros. Start point is car park at Achriabhach in Glen Nevis. Distance 15km, Ascent 1400m approx, time 6 hrs.

Six Mamores

[Sgurr Eilde, Binnein Beag, Binnein Mor, Na Grugaichean, Stob Coire a' Chairn & Am Bodach] Start point in a layby on outskirts of Kinlochleven [Alternate start point is Mamores Hotel for small fee - would save a few hundred metres of ascent] Distance 25km, ascent 2400m approx, time just over 12 hrs.
Owner:  gigha, Type: route/track, Area: Scotland.

Creise - Meall a' Bhuiridh

Track log from an ascent of Creise and Meall a' Bhuirdh via the Sron nam Forsair ridge. Start point is a layby on the A82 where a path leads over to the West Highland Way near Ba Cottage ruins. [a bit soft underfoot initially] The Sron nam Forsair ridge up onto Clach Leathad is fairly steep but there are no techical dificulties. Distance 20km, ascent 1200m approx, time 7.5 hrs. A nice route avoiding the Ski cenre.
