Whinfell Beacon and Mabbin Crag 

This route goes up Borrowdale (no not that Borrowdale) from the M6 near Tebay to the A6 at Huck's Bridge and then returns along the ridge via Ashstead Fell, Mabbin Crag, Castle Fell, Whinfell Beacon and Grayrigg Forest. Huck's bridge is an alternative start. 18.5km, 787m asect/descent/ 4:55hrs, (Based on a GPS trace recorded on 28/11/12)

Howgills Tour 

23.6km. From Gaisgill take in Rispa Pike, Uldale Head, Docker Knott, Breaks Head, Bush Howe, White Fell, The Calf, Hazegill Knott and West Fell. (This route was generated from digital mapping and walked by the author on 3/5/12)

Cow Green to High Cup Nick via Murton Fell 

25 km out and return starting at Cow green Reservoir and following the Pennine Way to High Cup Nick. The route detours before the Nick to take in Murton Fell. This dogleg is a compass run across crossing a lot of peat hags and deep gullies. (This route was generated from digital mapping and walked by the author on 12/6/12)

Round Askrigg in the Dales 

Starting at the car park in Askrigg this route goes out over the River Ure to Bainbridge then circles round Askrigg travelling along the edge of Brough Scar before descending to Worton village, Nappa Mill and Nappa Hall. It then climbs steadily up Harr Gill before contouring along a track to briefly join the Reeth road. After a brief descent down the road, it follows Low Straights Lane as far as the woods surrounding Whitfield Beck finally returning to Askrigg by the Beck, visiting Whitfield Gill Force and Mill Gill Force en route. It finishes at the Kings Arms in Askrigg which featured as The Dover's Arms in the TV Series All Creatures Great and Small. 14.4km, 363m ascent/descent,3:35hr. Recorded 29/06/15

High Cup Nick and Backstone Edge 

An extension of a route published earlier. Follow PW from Dufton to High Cup Nick then head for highest FB across Maize Beck. Before FB head off piste NW to 600m contour. Follow contour SW to begin with and eventually a faint path develops. Folllow this around Backstone Edge past trig point until track from Dufton the Great Rundale Tarn is seen, Follow track down. 18km, 780m ascent/descent. 4:45hr. Recorded 15/5/16

Embsay Crag Circular 

A short 3.26 mile circular walk from Embsay village center, over Embsay Crag and back. Car parking is free in the Elm Tree Inn car park.

Yorkshire Three Peaks 

The new route of the Y3P (avoiding the bogs on Horton Moor). Car parking is free in Horton in Ribblesdale if you can find a spot or ?4.20 for the car park in the middle of the village. The walk is 24.5 miles and took us 9hrs 40 mins.

Kings Meaburn & Jackdaw Scar 

Circular walk starting at King's Meaburn going along River Lyvennet under Jackdaw Scar. 10km, 148m up/down, 2:30hr. Recorded 09/02/15.

Peat Moor Hill & Hurst Moor 

19.5km, 534m ascent/descent, 4:05hr. From CB Inn in Arkengarthdale a circular route predominantly on moorland tracks, some off piste to Peat Moor Hill summit and finishing with descent of Fremington Edge. Recorded 15/5/14.
