  • Chris Pearson says...
  • This suburban summit is just uphill from the giant Kimberly Clark paper mill which has been based in Barrow for 44 years. It used to sell on some of the giant reels of tissue made by its paper machines to other mills, but the Barrow plant now has such a burgeoning order book, it is converting everything it makes down to the sizes required for toilet tissue, paper handkerchiefs and towels. 400 employees and three massive paper machines produce around 120,000 tonnes of tissue a year. Andrex and Klenex are popular products.
