  • This is where it starts. Noticed trig point on my OS map during walk. Thought it would be in field to my left - open good views but amazed to find it in well developed hedgerow on my right. Begs the question about land use and landscape changes since 1936

  • 7 hour & 7 tops circular walk from Clanfield with L and Betty the dog. Visited summit losing the dog for a while in the long grass and also missed the trig pillar partly due to it being just on the next map and hard to see on my 1974 OS map that Im still using having bought it new on a family holiday as a child.
