• 31/1/24 Same approach as for Wolfscote Hill South Top with L. a great steep climb up from the riverside path all open grassy access land to a high ridge walk with plummeting drop on one side but fields on the other to a fine final mound with a pleasing gate sign saying this way to the view. Wonderful views over deep meandering valley of the Dove with its limestone bluffs and towers carved by glacial meltwater as the ice age thawed. Probably warmer then than it was today on a raw January morning! Carefully down the same way as no obvious way to join row in front of farm without being very obvious in fields. From the lorry layby by Tissington Trail and Alport Cottages.
